M7 Aerospace Acquires US Assets of Fairchild Dornier

In early 2003, the newly formed M7 Aerospace acquired the US assets of Fairchild Aircraft and Dornier Aviation (North America) with the promise of delivering new aviation products and services and continuing Sherman Fairchild's spirit of innovation into the 21st century.

As M7 Aerospace, we are the heirs to the Fairchild legacy. We hold the FAA type certificates for the Fairchild Metro and Merlin series of aircraft and continue many of the traditions established over the last century by the various forms the Fairchild Aviation Corporation has taken.

The tradition of unswerving support for the United States military continues through our C-20, C-23 and C-26 support. And in 2004, M7 Aerospace turned to the very roots from which the Fairchild Aviation Corporation grew, aerial imaging, through its acquisition of Visual Intelligence.
