M7 Announces BPO Services Available Through its Purchasing and Supply Management Group

M7 Aerospace announced today that its Supply Chain Management business support unit is now marketing its services to outside customers in addition to serving the requirements of M7’s five commercial business units.
Brian Dannewitz C.P.M., vice president of Supply Chain Management for M7, said his organization will expand its function as a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider.

Dannewitz noted that M7’s Supply Chain Management organization has earned the Excellence in Innovative Supply Chain Management award from the Southwest Forum, the regional organization of the Institute for Supply Chain Management for the past three years in a row.
M7’s Supply Chain Management organization supports M7’s commercial and government businesses, and has a history of demonstrated success in pleasing demanding customers such as FedEx, The Boeing Company, Sikorsky, Lockheed Martin, AgustaWestland Bell and the U.S. Government.
The Government Logistics Support Contracting business unit of M7 Aerospace has contractor logistics services (CLS) programs supporting military aircraft throughout the world. M7 plays a critical roll in maintaining the mission readiness status required for these aircraft and experience and expertise in International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) to support its customer’s global requirements.
A wide range of services is available from M7’s Supply Chain Management organization including:
• Staffing Services and Contract Purchasing, spanning buyer offload, contractor re-qualification, interim management, medical/military leave coverage, supplier surveillance / delivery assurance, staffing analysis, agreement development and bid management.
• Logistics & Shipping Services, which include warehouse management, freight and traffic administration, specialized packaging and crating, import/export regulation compliance, and physical inventory audit services.
• Procurement Audit Services, including post purchase income recovery (overcharge recovery), contract price compliance, and freight overcharge recovery.
Dannewitz said M7 has already begun to market its Purchasing & Supply Management Services and intends to become a major player in providing BPO services in the global market.
M7 Aerospace is a certified small business based in San Antonio. The company operates five business units, including Government Logistics Support Contracting, Aerostructures Manufacturing, Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul, Aircraft Parts and Service Support, and Engineering Services.
Located on the international airport in San Antonio, M7 Aerospace operates from a 426,000 sq. ft. factory complex formerly occupied by Fairchild Aircraft. M7 acquired the assets of Fairchild Aircraft in December 2002 and began operating under its own name on April 1, 2003.
