M7 Aerospace has been recognized by Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE: NOC) as a 2008 Supplier of the Year for its Sheet Metal component work for the U.S. Navy's E-2 aircraft program. M7 has been a supplier to Northrop Grumman’s Aerospace Systems sector since 2004. This is the 2nd consecutive year M7 has been selected by Northrop Grumman for a supplier award. M7 Aerospace received a World Class Team Supplier award in 2007.

M7 Aerospace was one of 11 companies out of a large global supplier base to receive a Supplier of the Year designation in this fourth year of the awards program. Buck Kilgore, Vice President Aerostructures Manufacturing for M7 Aerospace received the award on behalf of the company on May 6 at a luncheon sponsored by Northrop Grumman in Manhattan Beach, Calif.

“We are proud to receive this honor from Northrop Grumman,” said M7 Aerospace President and COO Kevin Brown. “It reflects our company’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, and the care and attention our people bring to their jobs every day.”

Northrop Grumman developed its Supplier of the Year Award program to recognize the critical role that its suppliers play in the delivery of high-performance products that the company produces for U.S. and international customers. The program is an outgrowth of the company's strategic sourcing initiative, which began in 2003 as a way for the company to build stronger long-term relationships with its suppliers.

Under this initiative, suppliers receive a quarterly score on criteria such as quality, on-time delivery and participation in affordability initiatives. To be considered for a Supplier of the Year award, a company must demonstrate consistently superior performance in delivering products and services to Northrop Grumman.

Northrop Grumman Corporation is a leading global security company whose 120,000 employees provide innovative systems, products, and solutions in aerospace, electronics, information systems, shipbuilding and technical services to government and commercial customers worldwide.

Chuck Wands, sector vice president, business management and chief financial officer for Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, noted that today’s economic climate demands flawless performance on defense programs. “Our suppliers are our partners in the truest sense of the word,” Wands noted, “And they share Northrop Grumman’s commitment to value and customer satisfaction.”
