M7 Awarded Army LCCS Contract for C-26
San Antonio-TX – September 22, 2009

M7 Aerospace has been awarded a U.S. Army contract by the Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) contracts center. The contract is for the Life Cycle Contract Support (LCCS) services for the Army’s fleet of C-26 Metroliner aircraft.
M7 Aerospace will provide overall program management including all support actions required for operating and maintaining the aircraft, which integrates the following support services: maintenance, spares, support equipment, engineering support, staff field sites, and field teams to service aircraft away from their home bases including some at overseas locations. In addition, M7 will perform major inspections, maintenance and modifications as required. The program management office for the Army C-26 program will be located at M7 Aerospace’s headquarters in San Antonio, Texas.
M7 Aerospace won this contract through a competitive bid process by presenting the best value to the Army. Under the terms of the contract, M7 will provide LCCS support for up to five years for the Army’s fleet of C-26 Metroliner aircraft.
C-26 is the military designation for a Fairchild SA227 Metro 23 regional airline. M7 Aerospace is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the Fairchild-built Metro 23 as well as the entire Fairchild Metro and Merlin product lineage. M7 has a long history of supporting the worldwide fleet of Fairchild Metro and Merlin aircraft, currently numbering almost 700 aircraft. All of these aircraft, including the C-26, were built at M7’s facilities at the San Antonio International Airport.
