M7 Aerospace is descended from one of the most respected names in aviation history. Everything we do today has its roots in the company's original founding in 1925 as the Fairchild Aviation Corporation. The company began out of Sherman Fairchild's work to support the United States military in World War I with the brand new art of aerial photography.

Today, M7 Aerospace continues that legacy of teamwork with the United States military and innovation in aviation and aerial photography. The timeline below describes the experience that has made us who we are today.

2003: M7 Aerospace Acquires US Assets of Fairchild Dornier

In early 2003, the newly formed M7 Aerospace acquired the US assets of Fairchild Aircraft and Dornier Aviation (North America) with the promise of delivering new aviation products and services and continuing Sherman Fairchild's spirit of innovation into the 21st century.
